We have analyzed and discussed the issue of motor shaft current from different angles. In the process of analysis and discussion, we basically treat the motor as a relatively isolated individual. In practical applications, the equipment equipped with the motor has bearings. If the motor has shaft current, will it have adverse effects on the bearings of the equipment?

When the motor and the equipment are connected coaxially, the equipment bearings and the motor bearings are basically in the same state, that is, the probability of encountering shaft current damage is the same. Whether the motor bearing or the equipment bearing is damaged depends mainly on the lubrication state of the bearing. The bearing with relatively poor lubrication effect is damaged first, and then it will continue to attack other bearings. From a theoretical analysis, when the lubrication state of the motor bearing and the equipment bearing is equivalent, the bearing system of the motor and the equipment is equivalent to a parallel line relationship, which has a certain shunting effect; when the motor adopts shaft current prevention measures, it will also play an effective protective role on the equipment bearing.

When the motor and the equipment are belt-driven, due to the relative independence of the operation of the motor and the equipment, the shaft current of the motor will not affect the equipment bearing in theory. The running equipment itself is in a passive non-powered running state, so generally the equipment bearing will not have shaft current.

Therefore, from the analysis of the transmission principle of the motor and the equipment, as long as necessary shaft current avoidance measures are taken for the motor body, the safety of equipment operation can be guaranteed.
